The JCR's Churchill II crew lost to Robinson I in
the first round. The mixed IV lost to Emmanuel in
their opening race.

a distance of 1100
metres.
Men's VIIIs
Churchill's
First VIII lost by a little over a length to Caius
I in the opening round. The Second VIII won convincingly
over St Catharine's I in their opening race, but went down to 1st
& 3rd II in round 2. The Third VIII were defeated
by 1st & 3rd V in their opening round.

Women's VIIIs
The
Churchill First VIII scored a comfortable victory
over New Hall I in their first round. Caius I had just gained clear
water over Churchill in the second round when a Churchill seat worked
loose and they had to stop. The Second VIII again
performed superbly. They beat Fitzwilliam II easily in the first
round, and then accounted for Caius II and Emmanuel II in the quarter-finals
and semi-finals respectively. The final against Jesus II was a great
race, but Jesus ran out winners by 2/3 of a length. The Third
VIII scored a very good win over 1st & 3rd in their
opening race, but lost to LMBC III in their second race.

The
event was conducted on the river Nene just outside Peterborough,
over a distance of 4.9 km.
Churchill Men's First VIII completed the course
in 16'53" for 17th place overall and 4th in the men's S4 division.
The time was 24" behind the men's S4 winners, 1st & 3rd, who
were also the top Cambridge College crew. The Men's Second
VIII clocked 18'48", earning 54th place overall, 4th in
the men's Novice division, and 4th among Cambridge College men's
second boats. The event was won overall by Star Club in a time of
15'09".

event was conducted on the Cam, from the Little Bridge to Peter's
Posts (2700
metres). Women's First VIII finished in fifth
place in the women's First VIIIs division. They completed the course
in 11'02", 33" behind the fastest crew, Trinity Hall. Women's
Second VIII finished first in the women's lower boats division.
Their time of 11'28" was a convincing 49" clear of the second-placed
crew.
